About Ruth

Ruth Larson is running for the James City County Board of Supervisors to join with the other supervisors from both parties to provide the proactive leadership our county needs.

As a native of the area, Larson has watched James City County grow and the needs change. “I want to be elected to the Board of Supervisors so that I can continue to serve this exceptional community as we face the twin challenges of encouraging positive growth while simultaneously retaining the unique nature of this community. I respect our historical significance and want to continue to attract the businesses and community leaders who will work to sustain it. Through collaboration between dedicated colleagues and citizens, I will ensure we safeguard every taxpayer dollar to support the clean, safe and exceptional community we call home.”

Smart Growth

I am committed to the type of growth necessary to enhance our quality of life.

Fiscal Responsibility

It is important we make the investments necessary to benefit our community the most while maintaining our high bond rating.

Citizen Services

I worked with VDOT to take action on an unsafe intersection and reduce accidents from 19 to 0.

Education

I served 10 years on the school board, giving me the background to recognize the best path for WJCC schools and support our teachers and students.

Still the best choice for JCC!
